Daniel Andrews has lost control of population growth in Victoria and it’s putting enormous strain on our local schools.
An elected Liberal Nationals Government led by Matthew Guy will provide Cranbourne South Primary School with $5.9 million so it once again has the high quality facilities to match its excellent teachers and curriculum.
The commitment will see an upgrade to Block A, the administration building including the removal of asbestos.
The teachers will also benefit with a brand new staff-room and extra toilets to cater for the growing staff numbers at the school as well as establishing a suitable car park for parents to safely park.
The Liberal Nationals are committed to ensuring our schools receive the very best educational facilities and fixing the maintenance backlog left by Daniel Andrews and Labor.
Melbourne’s population is now 5 million people and growing at an average of around 2,700 a week and it is putting enormous pressure on schools like Cranbourne South.
The Andrews Labor Government, has failed to provide badly needed funding to the school in each of its four budgets.
Cranbourne South Primary School has almost 400 students and is one of the fastest growing in the region.
The Liberal Nationals are committed to getting ahead of population by investing in local schools.
Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Small and Medium Enterprises, Neale Burgess:
“Victoria has had 15 of the last 19 of Labor governments and in that time, Cranbourne South Primary School and community has been badly neglected.”
“Daniel Andrews was shamed into providing funding for the Cranbourne South Primary school, with the only previous announcement made by Labor that if elected it would close this important school.”
Under a Guy Liberal National Government, Cranbourne South families will get the quality school facilities they deserve and desperately need”.
